Reports to: People and Culture Director
Location: Arusha
Purpose of the position:
To support, coordinate and advise on legal matters affecting the organization to ensure compliance to various statutory requirement and serve as a vital link between the public and management on legal matters.
Major Responsibility:
Institute legal proceedings on behalf of the organization
Respond to correspondences and complaints with legal implication from WV partnership, Government and general public
Represent the organization in all judicial/quasi-judicial functions
Coordinates drafting and Vets all the contracts entered into between the organization and other parties
Asses legal risks and advise management on necessary amendments to the organization policies, rules and regulations
Coordinate the activities of external legal counsels and legal firms acting on behalf of the organization if any
Minimum Qualification required:LLB and should be registered to the High Court.
Experience: Four years as Advocate of the High Court
Preferred:Seven years of experience in the legal field
Technical Skills & Abilities:
Computer skills
Practice in Labour causes
Excellent communication skills both English and Kiswahili
